For one weekend each year, the rich maritime and whaling history of this port on Australia’s Coastal Wilderness becomes the centerpiece for a weekend that somehow seamlessly links all things whale. There’s a spectacular street parade, vibrant markets showcasing and selling the work of local artisans, great local food and wine, educational marine displays and presentations, quality children’s entertainment, live music and – of course – the best whale watching experience in Australia.

One of Maui’s most popular events for 34 years, World Whale Day is a free, all-day celebration honoring the humpback whales that come to Maui each winter. Hosted by the nonprofit Pacific Whale Foundation, World Whale Day 2014 took place on Saturday, February 15.
Join us again in 2015 for another two fun-packed weekends, March 7, 8 and 14, 15.
And remember, our goal is to keep the Festival of Whales “clean and green” –
It’s time for the whales to make their annual trip down south and the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce will celebrate with their 9th Annual Street Fair, which is part of the 30th Whale Festival with a weekend of fun, food, entertainment and an arts & craft show with over 100 vendors.
The Dana Point Festival of Whales is an ocean-friendly event with many of our booths, displays and exhibits being very close to water’s edge. We ask that all our sponsors and exhibitors keep this ocean location top-of-mind and refrain from using balloons, stickers, tattoos, flyers, single-serving water bottles or other materials that might find their way to the receiving waters of the Pacific Ocean. We also ask all of our guests to keep these practices in mind as they spend a glorious day or weekend taking in the beauty of this special location. Drinking fountains are plentiful for the refilling of water bottles that can be purchased at multiple event locations OR bring your own and refill throughout the day. Please help us keep the Festival of Whales clean and green for generations to come.
The Fort Bragg Whale Festival is gearing up for the big annual celebration. The gray whales are coming about 20,000-strong. Fort Bragg Whale Festival offers whale watching at Point Cabrillo Light House, a craft fair, and live music, as part of the two-day festival.
